Claude AI Enters the World of Voice; Voice Conversations with Anthropic AI

The American company Anthropic has recently taken a new step in developing its AI assistant, Claude AI, by adding voice conversation capabilities. This feature, currently in the testing phase, will soon be available in English for users of the mobile version of the Claude app.

In this version, users will be able to speak directly to Claude AI using their own voice and receive responses in audio form. During the conversation, key points will appear on the screen, and users can switch between voice and text modes. Additionally, Anthropic has provided five different voice options for varied auditory experiences. After each conversation ends, a text version of the dialogue along with a summary will also be provided.

However, this feature is not without limitations. For example, using the voice capability counts toward the user’s daily usage limit. Additionally, features like connecting Claude AI to email and calendar will only be available to subscribers of the paid version.

It is worth noting that Anthropic had previously announced it had entered negotiations with companies like Amazon and ElevenLabs to enhance the voice capabilities of its intelligent assistant. However, it remains unclear whether these collaborations have resulted in any concrete outcomes.

The growing competition in the field of voice interactions among AI systems is one of the most significant current developments in this domain. After OpenAI introduced voice conversation with ChatGPT and Google launched similar features in Gemini, it was expected that Claude would follow the same path. What makes this competition even more compelling is the difference in tone, response speed, conversational comprehension accuracy, and voice personalization capabilities — all of which could play a decisive role in user preferences in the future.

With the addition of this new feature, the competition among AI assistants has intensified even further, and Claude has taken another step toward a more interactive and human-like experience.
